Outdoor Express is coming back next summer!
Let’s head out into nature this summer!
Do you remember how, last summer, the Outdoor Express—which ran on weekends during the summer season—offered a quick connection from the Jyväskylä Travel Center to the Pyhä-Häkki, Etelä-Konnevesi, and Leivonmäki National Parks? You can read more about the Outdoor Express here and here. The buses will run again this summer to the national parks on a rotating schedule from July 4 to September 27, 2026.
Tickets are sold by Matkahuolto. See more details and buy in advance: Outdoor Express – Visit Jyväskylä Region
What do national parks have to offer?
You can explore on your own on foot or take advantage of the national parks’ wide range of guided tours and adventure activities. A cruise on inland waters or a guided canoeing trip offers views of the national park from the water. With Outdoor Express, you can easily bring your bike along if you want to try out the national parks’ mountain bike trails.
This summer, Outdoor Express will operate on both Saturdays and Sundays, making day trips possible, but also offering the chance to spend the night in nature.
This summer, you have the chance to purchase an Outdoor Express ride and a national park experience all at once—and from a single location! We’ve teamed up with our partners to create a few ready-made packages for sale.
